World's First Motorcycle VLogger

1. You finally stop to smell the roses, because your baby is in your arms.

2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid.

3. The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices.

4. You respect your body … finally.

5. You respect your parents and love them in a new way.

6. You find that your baby’s pain feels much worse than your own.

7. You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child.

8. You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have banished years ago.

9. Your heart breaks much more easily.

10. You think of someone else 234,836,178,976 times a day.

11. Every day is a surprise.

12. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you. (Hooray for poop!)

13. You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.

14. You become a morning person.

15. Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power.

  1. Opczar Said,

I remember a vblog entry where you say you can’t love your baby at ‘first sight’.

After seeing that your kid is shown in pretty much every new video of yours (even as an outro) and now this blog entry – I’d think the love is there, *sniff

Change #1 is a good one to tip to remember, lol!

Good post. By the way… as your son’s Birthday is coming you should post a picture of him with a cake and we’ll write good wishes to him. Then you’ll print the page and give it to him in future. m?

  9. John W. Said,

Man, let me tell ya. I have a little girl, and she is the light of my life. I am a single father, and have been raising her on my own for 5 1/2 years. You have an awsome road ahead of you. Lots’ more good stuff to add to that list. By the time he is my daughters age that list will be three pages long. God bless.

  10. Ruby Said,

“you look at your baby instead of yourself”
    aaaaawwwwww

  11. Colton Said,

aw man you’re gonna make me cry….

  12. Tom504 Said,

Vrublevskogo has a good idea. How cool will it be when your son grows up, he’ll see he’s had tons of fans since he was little.

  13. Jason Said,

Thanks for sharing this, M13. It’s very humbling.

  14. spelly Said,

    33. You become a coffee drinker if you never were before.

  15. Grahame Said,

Yeah, man! That’s a great list. I’ve got four kids myself, ages ranging from 10 to 4, two boys and two girls. It’s great fun being a dad to boys, but man…having daughters changes you. I’ve become such a softie since my wife had the girls, and I think I’m better for it. The world could use a little more tenderness, and nothing brings that (or bear-fierce protectiveness) out of a guy than his kids.

  16. Carl Said,

Awesome, M. Love the vids. Hi from Vancouver!
