'09 Ninja 650r Hard to Start

Hi guys!

A couple months ago I posted in this forum about my '09 Ninja 650r not starting - http://youtu.be/jTYVC67xZpg

I found a very good motorcycle mechanic who I wholly trust (friend of a friend) - who took pretty much everything apart (for next to nothing) and checked it over. Top end (machine shop checked) and gears are mint (like new) so he replaced the battery and starter motor.

Anyone have any ideas as to why it's so hard to start?
